Featuring more new faces to our collective for round #3:

Monty Koludrovic (Becasse), Annemarie Rodrigo (Bistrode), Tomislav Martinovic (Tomislav) & sommelier Richard Hargreave (Bilson’s)

…alongside Morgan McGlone (Flinders Inn) & Dan Hong (Lotus), sommelier Banjo Harris- Plane (Est.), cocktails by Luke Ashton (The Corner House), Mitch O. Bushell (NYC).

[TOYS] is mixing it up with a new format: Join us in association with The Sydney Morning Herald’s S section in an effervescent night of cocktails and canapes at Chippendale’s White Rabbit Gallery, during Sydney International Food Festival this October.

Date: Tuesday October 12
Time: 6.30pm – 9.30pm
Venue: White Rabbit Gallery, 30 Balfour Street Chippendale
Price: $95 pp (includes cocktails, wine and canape degustation)

[TOYS]

A collective born from the desire to prove what the next generation can do when left to their own devices, Taste of Young Sydney [TOYS] is about action: pushing the culinary envelope, rather than trash-talking the status quo.

2010 has seen [TOYS] present two dinners so far, showcasing chefs Dan Hong (Lotus), Morgan McGlone (Flinders Inn), Mitchell Orr (Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year 2010), Darren Robertson (ex-Tetsuya), Pasi Petanen (Marque Restaurant), Yu-ching Lee, and Adriano Zumbo.

[TOYS] is not for the faint-hearted, with previous themes being ‘Phat’ and ‘Skin & Bones’.

[TOYS] is not just about talented young chefs, the collective includes  sommeliers Banjo Harris-Plane (Est.) and Paul Yanon as well as bartenders Luke Ashton (Ivy Pool Bar) and Mitchel O. Bushell (The Corner House), run by front of house’s Kylie Javier (The Bentley Bar), Louise Tamayo (Becasse), Erin Thomenny (Alira) and Chauncey Sjostedt (Berta).
